Hi,
I am havinf some difficulties starting my old RS6000 (7006/260). The LED errorcode 186 comes up each time I start the machine. The problem popped up since I substituted the harddrive. My first thought was to put everything back when it was working fine. No succes and #186 is making my evening a frustrating one! :-z

Have I killed my RS? :-(

What to do? I even took out the battery, but no success whatsoever.

yep, found that one too on comp.unix.aix and many more. I am the system is lost... I still have some hope it can be caused by a SCSI failure, which would make sense, but I got rid off all the SCSI stuff and the problem still occurs... no other codes whatsoever.

thanx anywayz... Someone interesed in spareparts? ;-) There is a 19i color screen, tapedrive and an external CD-rom player included..
