I'm trying to get some basic information on a RS6000, F40 server.
I'm looking for RAM, chip speed & type, disk, and general usage. I've looked at vmstat and sar to monitor usage but need more.
I have had a look at lscfg -v -r and bootinfo -r. But don't really understand what I'm getting back.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Try to get more info with (grep out whatever needed):

1.lsattr -El sys0
2.mminfo -s 2 (disks,memory,etc)
3.uname -M (platform type)
4.lscfg -vp -l mem0 |pg (memory modules installed)
5.lscfg -vp -l hdiskx (disk info)
