Ive just been through the FAQ "Norstar KSU SP Versions" to try and work out exactly what software version i am using, and the numbers didnt match up. If anyone is able to enlighten me on the software and hardware versions, it would make my day.

System Version comes up with:

SP: 30H1F03 GP1

which is BNR something 5.03. I couldnt find a match for the H1 in the list. any ideas?

Also, i have a 4 port trunk card, part# NT7B69AD-93 which i am wondering if it is CLI compatable.

What i am trying to get at, is to find out if i need to upgrade my software (probably) to run CLI if that card is CLI compatable (probably not). As you could understand, i dont want to spend the money for a software upgrade if the card is not one of the CLI ones, as I really dont need to upgrade the software for any other reason.

While not wanting to take money away from vendors, i really appreciate the info that i have gained from this site, i bought the norstar system for my office so i could play with it, for my own edification only, and i dont think it would be financially viable for any of us (as much fun as it would be) for me to get one of you guys out here!.

Thanks again.

WHICH COUNTRY ARE YOU IN

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Im in Australia.
Locally, the norstar range are rebranded by our "main" carrier Telstra.
The MICS are called "Telstra Commander NT 132" and the CICS are called "Commander NT 40".
They are very far behind with software revisions etc... (my software is not on a flash card with an NVRAM cart, just the cart itself)... and if you have one of these systems, and want caller ID, they try and sell you a new (other brand) system! I bought this system off a company that was sold a whole new MICS with new line cards etc when all he asked for was call accounting. he was told this one couldnt do it! Talk about a rip off.
Cheers,
Sam.

MOSTLY the stuff refers to US version
but upgrading a software is not required ... you need a hardware that will support CallerID
