Hi All,
I recently added a netgear nic and cable access to a
win98 pc with a 1.2ghz celeron, 384meg ram. I went to
windows update and got all the latest patches and media
player 7.1. When I try to get streaming data(video or
music) the pc hangs and reboots. The device manager shows
no hardware conflicts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
George

Do a Ctrl-Alt-Del on the Desktop, and shut down all programs except Explorer and Systray.
If that works, then you can prevent these programs from running at startup by going to Start/Run, type msconfig, click OK, click Startup, uncheck the boxes for all unnecessary programs(you may want to document which programs are checked for future reference), click OK, and restart the computer.

If no luck, then uninstall and reinstall WMP.

If still no good, then uninstall all media players except WMP from Add/Remove Programs.

Thanks Ski,
I figured out that my sound card and my network card
were using the same irq.(windows hardware manager reported
no conflicts). Once I changed the irq, it works fine.
thanks for the info...

Hi, my name is Nelson and I have a little question:

When I am inside a Visual FoxPro Application, how can I trap combination key (CTRL+ALT+DEL)if the user press it?
Please, if somebody have an answer for this, send me an example of how at neguesa@msn.com or nelson@icesystem.com
Thanks
