System froze after closing IExplorer 5.5 .. Please help!

I recently reverted back to IExplorer v5.5 from v6.0 . Now my system freezes each time I close Iexplorer . It appears to work fine until the first closure of IExplorer . How can I fix this problem ? ( Note : After I close IExplorer, I Ctrl+Alt+Del and still see "Iexplorer" running in the back ground. What's going on ? Please explain... ) .

Maybe you will have to reinstall 6 & remove this way .

How to Uninstall IE6 .
