I have limited expierience with Partner Systems, and I got an order to expand one, adding two 400 modules. the current system is R7 with a 509 processor, 308 and 2port messaging module configured like this,
308,MsgModule,509,empty,empty

As I understand this, I have to move the messageing module to the far right and put the two new 400 modules right of the 308 and left of the messaging. So basically I will end up like this,
308,400,509,400,MsgModule

Am I correct?

also this makes the 2 ports on the messaging module change from extension 27/28 to extension 39/40 cause the 400's count extensions like they are really a 406 correct??

thanks all

Since these are 400 modules, with NO stations involved, just put them in the two empty slots. The lines will still be 9-16.

Thanks TTTommy, I jave never seen it documented, but I always heard you had to keep the voicemail to the right of all the other cards, your suggestion seems too easy but with me not having any real expierience I am glad this board is out there and now I don't have to reconfigure that whole dang thing

Actually what you heard is correct about 99.9% of the time.

You do want to keep the voicemail to the right of all the boards in the carrier except when "400" modules are being used.

I believe that putting the voicemail module to the right of 400E or 400EC cards causes a problem, and the fix is to put the "400" modules to the right of the voicemail module.

In other circumstances, the voicemail modules do go on the right.

Thanks again TTT and Dexman, your advice was much appriciated and it worked perfect
