System Event Log does not update

Hi,

Having a very random problem.

I have a Windows NT4 server running Lotus Notes. The System Event Log seems to stop updating after about 3 minutes after boot. No messages to say why, the service is running and the App and Sec logs still update.

At first I thought it was a corrupted log but I have deleted and recreated this.

Anyone else seen this?

Does your event log run out of space? Check your log settings to see if you have set it to "Do not overwrite events" and increase the size of the event log. If this doesn't work to check to see that you have adequate free space where the log is being stored. You can also modify the registry to have event log created on another disk. Hope this helps.
