just had a legend system go down.....lost processor.

i have replaced the processor and when i try to upload the backup file, it says.....

RESTORE AUTO.BACK1:
Change Sys Programming
Port to Extension
before Restoring

i dont know what to do with this as i have never seen this message before.

any help would be great.

thanks!!

If you have a manual backup on the card as well, I would try and load the manual backup first, than go to the Auto.Back and load that. I've had trouble in the past with loading straight from the Auto.Back files, but loading a manual back first has worked for me.

If the original processor did not have logical ID 1 as the programming port, you must program the new processor to match the old setting first, then you will be able to restore. Since it can only be one of the first 5, you can probably find your way to the right one.

You should probably put the new processor in its own carrier, with no other card in it (or pop the cards out of the slot and use the existing carrier). Then default the new processor, and see if it will take the old program.
