I was replacing my UPS batteries on my 2000 IPS when one of the battery wires touched a side of the metal housing, my system is down.. i was in the process of shutting down the system when this happened only that i had removed the nut on one of the wires so that i could get the correct wrench and as i was powering down the system the wire came loose and it made contact on the side... my system is down.

where do i start?

Hi Seahawk
Call your NEC vendor immediately. If you’re flying solo try this
First remove all power from the system and pull all cards out of the system then disconnect the batteries. Put in the PZ 121 power supply the CP 24 CPU in the first pim and power up the system, when the run LED on the CPU is running normal (120BPM) put in 1 phone card at a time and test calling between extensions. You are looking to see if any card was damaged by the power surge, and then do the same with the trunk cards.
