I have recently taken over as administrator for a NORSTAR system. After an extended power off period, we tried restarting the system, but the only phone that will show an incoming call on the line button, or furthermore will allow outbound calls is the Operator/CAP station. The system doesn't seem to recognize the DN sets, which are 7316's, or allow us to program the buttons on it. The system seems to think they are 7310 sets, and there doesn't appear to be an option to change them
We seem to be able to get inbound calls on some sets, but they show up on an I/C button. It has worked properly in the past,
Any help would be severely appreciated, as this system is used by a charity, and they can't solicit donations when they can't dial out!
Please can someone help us with this?
Sincerely yours,
KS Choi

Honestly you are probably going to need to get a qualified tech out on site. It sounds like you have lost most of your programming on the system. It would take quite a bit for us to walk you through that much reprogramming. You will need to reassign lines to extensions, assign the lines to a pool, assign a line pool access code, and ensure that the phone have line pool access to that particular pool.

Also, the software does consider the T7316 sets as 7310s. That is normal. MRoberts

see if you have a fastrad or irad on the system. you might be able to get someone to program remotely.

try checking the amp cables coming into the system also on the phones - is the time and date set back to january if so your system has lost its programming. The T7316 phones will not make a difference in the system the system still see's the phones as being M7310. On the T7316 phones the line buttons start on the 4th button down.
Good Luck
