I've copied to this post my backup log:

* cor0001s097.cablegalicia.com:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - rsmow: Cannot open a session: 0x00000719.
* cor0001s097.cablegalicia.com:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - Error saving
* cor0001s097.cablegalicia.com:SYSTEM DB:\ Windows Management Instrumentation Database - Error saving
cor0001s097.cablegalicia.com: SYSTEM DB:\ level=full, 2 KB 00:03:26 6 files

I've got another W2000 machine (Professional, not Server) but It seems run ok.

Please, would you tell me an answer?

Do you actually have any removable media on this (failing) computer? If so, specify the drive letter as a specific saveset and see if this sorts it.

No, they've got fixed drives.

One the these save set is for example:

c:SYSTEM STATE:SYSTEM DB:SYSTEM FILES:
The error reported through backup log:

cor0001s097.cablegalicia.com: C:\ level=5, 19 MB 00:03:52 100 files
cor0001s097: SYSTEM STATE:\ level=full, 13 MB 00:03:30 19 files
* cor0001s097:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - rsmow: Cannot open a session: 0x00000719.
* cor0001s097:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - Error saving
* cor0001s097:SYSTEM DB:\ Windows Management Instrumentation Database - Error saving
cor0001s097: SYSTEM DB:\ level=full, 2 KB 00:03:26 6 files
cor0001s097: SYSTEM FILES:\ level=skip, 0 KB 00:00:43 0 files
cor0001s133: index:cor0001s097 level=5, 30 KB 00:00:03 5 files

Many thanks in advance

NW will run on Windows 2000 Professional although it is not
officially supported.

I think there have been some issues that have been fixed
in NW 7.0.

But for the future, please ... be so kind and at least also
state the NW version you are using.

Excuse me, I forgot it completely.

Legato Networker version is 6.1.1 Build 328 which is intalled on a Unix machine. I run it from a NT local machine through Networker Administrator.

I don't know if 7.0 version fixes these errors, but I'd like to know why these errors are logged every day.

Thank you very much

What i forgot to state ...
On Windows 2000 it is mandatory that you stop the Removable
Storage Manager Service, RSM. If this is quiet, it shall be excluded from the backup. So these errors will not occur.
