Modem works fine, able to access websites, but within a minute + or - the system crashes. Sometimes it reboots. Sometimes I get:
*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
*** the system has halted.

System crashes only when modem is in use. It is stable otherwise. Plenty of ventilation around the box. Nothing seems warm.

Appreciate any help. Thanks.

To try:
- Check for the latest modem driver
- Try the modem in another PCI slot

if averything else is perfect in your system, try another modem. You may just have that combination that does not work.

try to google with the exact model of your modem, to see if anyone else has something to say about it.
