System Crash 1

i have a server running Suse 7.3 & duel Athlon Processors.
Yesterday the server crashed and froze completely.

All I can find in the log file is

APIC error on CPU1: 02(02)
APIC error on CPU0: 02(02)

obviously something happend to the processors but what?

Not being fully au-fait with Linux, I did a Google search and one of the suggestions seems to be to issue a disableapic command? Is this something you (or any other contributors) are aware of? Sorry is this isn't much help at this stage!

yes you were a help becaue i'm running Athlons they shouldn't be using APIC so i've set disableapic and i'll see how it goes.

APICs are needed on MP systems so you can't disable it.
