System Center Essentials

has anyone downloaded the trial version of Microsoft System Center Essentials?

I am currently downloading and going to test it out. It looks like a great tool. Just hoping others had some feedback.

I will keep you posted with my findings.

Hi,
have you tested it ?, i am installing SCE 2007 yesterday but
installation fails during reporting past of setup.

specified domain does not exist or cannot be contacted,

netbios domain name is verkoop1 and FQDN is verkoop.local

does someone knows a solution to this?

Ok guys,

i just want to share my status to all of you,

i downloaded SCE2007RTMHotfixRollup.exe installed it
and re-installed SCE.
had no problems with the installation!.

i think its great, you can see the status of the systems in your network and what software is installed. there is also a possibility to take over the clients.

i having some problems with older XP clients to install the SCE client. but i must look into this when i have the time.

Here's an update. We initially installed the RC version and had SEVERAL problems. We wiped the box and reistalled with the latest version from MS (its been about a month now) and things are working great. I've used it to deploy updates, software packages, monitoring/notifications.
