Hey folks,

So im curious if there is any way to slow down the amount of emails i receive for system alarms. I receive a new one about every 15 seconds stating No response to IP trunk call request. H.323 then moments later that its cleared. However within that time there will be 15-20 emails saying the exact same thing. I have the security minimum set to Major. Is there anything else i can do to change the threshold to not get bombarded with so many system alarm emails?

I appreciate any tips or advice , Thank you!

Change the threshold to critical for that event. Check system status once a week and clear the alarms.
You could also use snmp monitoring instead.

Let me play my playmo please.

Fix the problem with your SCN trunk (do you actually have SCN configured)

you may also want to consider turning off the email alarms completely

you will find out soon enough if you have a genuine problem

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I have SCN alerts through email, they only cone through when it goes down, which is maybe twice a year or so, so something is up with your network/internet connection if it's up and down like that :)
