My vendor has called me to state that they are seeing a alarm in our Mitel 2000 lite. When I go to my maintenance commands and input alarm the system is showing no alarm and also no faults (when the fault inquiry is run). Our vendor then stated that they had run a "network sync source" command to re-sync the span (t1) alarm. Is any of this true?

Yes this is true.

you can occasionally experince slips on your T1 trunks or even momentarily lose sync although this will not cause any loss of communication it will show an alarm of normally Minor.

netsync set 1 will normally return your links to normal operation and sync.

What SW load are you running?
This periodic loss of netsynch (following an activity switch) is a known problem that was finally identified and fixed in LW32
