The image is loaded onto the target machine (identical hardware as source machine), and the machine is restarted. When the Mini-Setup is prompting for the machine name, it is entered. During the network setup section however, the following message appears :
An invalid domain was specified. Would you like to proceed for now and try joining a domain later ?
[Yes] [No]

When clicking [No], I can enter the domain name (I basically accept the originally entered name), provide the credentials for the domain administrator, and the machine is joined to the domain.

Question 1 : what is causing this message to occur ?

Now the story goes even further...
After months of proceeding as explained above, now the machine is restarting ON ITS OWN, just before the Network Settings section has had the chance to be completed !!! The machine is restarting, and the hardware detection process and mini-setup wizard are starting all over...

Question 2 : Has anyone experienced this? How to solve this?
It happened already on 2 totally different images, with corresponding different hardware.
