Had a problem recently where I created an 'Account operators' user to use in sysprep to add machines into a domain.
In testing this account I could manually add a machine to a domain using the credentials, however in sysprep it would fail every time.
I had used password complexities, the particular password began and ended with ".
In sysprep when you creat an answer file and have to add the credentials for adding a machine to a domain, by default it also adds the ".
What this means that sysprep will only pass up everything inside the ", which screwed my password. If your password starts or ends with " it won't work.
so if you use "password" it becomes password.
one of those oddities we all see from time to time.......bloody annoying though!?!?!
