I am running xp pro.

I cannot Add\remove components. received error message:

Application popup: sysocmgr.exe - Unable To Locate Component : This application has failed to start because RESUTILS.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

any suggestions?

Run the following from start/run: Press OK after entry.

regsvr32 RESUTILS.dll

If that doesn't do anything for you -

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
