SYSNOTE User Issue

This is an old problem that has come back to haunt me. Former users created notes in IM, AR, PO or wherever and have since left the company along with their user login. These notes cannot be deleted by anyone other than that user (thanks Macola-what were you thinking!) who created them.

I did a crystal on the Sysnote file and found it to be 295 pages long and in need of some updating.

Can I do this through SQL since Macola gave us no tool?

I am thinking of changing all or selected user names to a current valid user name. I am also thinking about creating a static user just for maintaining notes.

Or, I could just delete or change the note as needed.

I think a SQL query might do this unless there is some validation process required by Macola.

Comments or suggestions?
