From syslog;
Deny TCP reverse path check from 10.200.75.5 to 10.200.225.3 on interface inside
I have an understanding why the ASA is denying the traffic, but I'm confused as to the syslog entry and hopefully this is the place to get sorted out. Since the source and destination addresses are members of rfc1918 private networks, they should not be coming from our outside public interface. Therefore, internal to the ASA, the packet is coming from the outside interface and being denied entry to inside, so to speak, and not leaving our LAN and trying to enter the inside interface. Inside interface is 192.168.1.10/24.
thanks in advance and hopefully this is not too unclear.
