sco_cpd: cpd: SIOCGIFADDR: Cannot assign requested address

what does that mean.
SCO Openserver 5.0.5 with certain patches and a bit old Compaq EFS.
Had to reinstall this server from root/boot tape a while ago, and this messages appeared.

Anyone know what it is? /Sören

sco_cpd is a daemon that verifies that the licenses on a network are unique.

associated with cpd is ifor_pmd which is part of the policy manager - check it is running - a reboot should restart ifor_pmd. or log in as root and start it.

hope the above helps track down the problem.

So that is what it is.
I believe I used a license from another machine when installing that machine.
I'll look this up, when I get the time.

Thanks. /Sören
