Hello team,

I need to apply a SYSLOAD on a Nortel OPC81 CP PIV. But i need to confirm if i have to push the RESET buttons at the same time for 3 seconds and then release them or push both INI buttons at the same time for 3 seconds an then release them.

could you some of you confirm this please?

any help will be appreciate.

If it were me I would split the cores and do it that way, less down time and safer.

Thanks for your quick response KFCLHRC.

I am thinking to make a backup on the flash card before perform the sysload my steps are:

1- backup data on FlashCard
2- pull out the flash card
3- run the sys on both CPus
4- once everything is up, insert the flash card again

Thanks for your recommendation. can i split the CPU's on LD 135 right?

Thanks

Yes, split the CPU's in LD 135. As soon as you split them the inactive side will sysload. After that sides is up issue the cutovr command, that will put call processing on that side and invoke an INI all by itself. Then manually sysload the other side. After that then join them. This way all your users are experiencing is an INI, not a complete sysload even though you are actually doing a sysload but in split mode. But definitely make sure you have a good database backup. Make at least 2 copies of the database on CF cards.

Perfect I will do that. however do you know how can i perform a remote backup? I mean to get it on my lap

I always just backup to the CF then put in my card reader and copy it over.
