I've done a fresh install of win2k pro, created a snapshot (sysdiff /snap c:\image.1). Next i've installed all the software that I use as a standard image ( office2000, adobe, winzip, service packs, i.e 6). After that I run the following c:\sysdiff /diff c:\image.1 c:\diff.1. It runs into an error 32 (diff failed, the process cannot access the file becuase it is being used by another process). Any ideas would be of value. I've created a dump file, which indicates everything is just fine, expect the difference file isn't being created.

Regards,

Jason

I am getting the same problem. I pulled the log file and opened it in excel. scrolled down a bit and found that it fails when it attempts to copy the files in cookies. I think it is having a problem with the index file. Most other user specific dats it skips. This one it doesn't. May have a hot fix on Microsoft's site.
