That is certainly a stupid question but how do I enable syntax highlight in D7?
Right now, if i type a wrong command, the editor does not put a squiggly line under it and it does not show in the left pane as a bad command.
I looked under environment options and it looks like everything is checked.
Thanks.

Make sure you have checked the following:

Tools -> Options -> Code Insight -> Source File Type = "Pascal" (or whatever you are editing) -> Error Insight

That Source File Type is probably where you missed it?

If that doesn't help I don't know what else could be wrong...

Good luck.

Nope, I got everything set as Pascal. I get no error while i'm typing. I have to compile everything to trigger variables errors. Maybe I should re install The software.
Thanks.

Create a new application, and see if it works there.

syntax highlight and code compleation stops if theres code errors (your program may still compile and run ).

Doesn't work in the background either (i.e if you are inspecting your code while the app is running)

I have 2006 installed on the same machine. I had to go back to D7 for testing some compiled DCU. In 2006, if i have a wrong variable, it will show on the left panel and I'll have a squiggly line under it. Is that a 2006 feature only?
