Syntax Errors and Indent Errors

Hi, uhm, today I downloaded Python for Mac OS X. And i've immediatly run into some problems. I've tried to run multiple scripts but on all of them I get one of two messages...

Either a 'Syntax Error' message.

or

An indentation error message.


And this is with several different scripts. A little help, please?

You will probably need to post a script that is giving you an error along with the verbatim error message.
