We have been utilizing microsoft's powertool; SYNCTOY to synchronize files between two servers across a router based VPN tunnel. Over the past year it appears the network VPN stalls and synctoy cannot handle it and deletes the files on the "running" side. Excerpt of the log:

Avoided copying 1,028,461,776 bytes in 11,738 files that id not require action.
Saved approximately 00:23:00 by not copying all files.

I'm looking for a new product. It deleted every file, some 3500 of them.
There is NO where to take this issue to; and no one is talking about it.
Be very cautious utilizing it in a scheduled situation.
