Just installed ACT 2005 and, yes, you have to install on the server that will be sharing the database. Sadness! Used to just be able to load on a workstation and copy database to a network server.
However, once that's done and you want to sync with remote users turns out that the software has to be running AND database has to be open on server or remote users can't access. Being a small organization with one person adminstering as well as SELLING, i.e, out of the office a lot this isn't really efficient. Anybody know any workarounds?
Yes, I know that I could upgrade to the premium version but this is already bought and approved by upper management.
