Here is the situation...

- DNS/Active Directory died for the "A" domain
- Created the "B" domain and all new users, etc
- User had sync'd files on domain "A"
- Joined user to domain "B"
- Can no longer access domain "A" to sync files

In the Offline Files Folder the file that I _NEED_ says "Only Local Copy Exists". But WHERE do they exist?

Thank you,
Bill Weber

The offline cache is located at %SystemRoot%\csc.

I have seen that path in various google groups and MSFT articles. But this PC (running Windows XP) does not have a CSC folder. There is a shortcut to offline files on the desktop.

It is a Hidden, System folder.
This is where the desktop folder draws its contents for display.

This MS KB article gives instructions on how to access Hidden, System folders under XP (the example used is the System Volume folder):
Personally, I would use a Resource Kit tool to point to the new server, and let sync populate the share from the local cache. Install the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit on a test Windows XP machine and run the following command:

csccmd.exe /moveshare:\\oldservername\sharename \\newservername\sharename.

Reskit Download:
