A podcast I watch shows how you can set white balance to a photo once in camera raw, then apply that setting to whatever additional photos you select and then "synchronize."

I have CS3 extended photoshop, but don't see those options, or even see how to view multiple photos in camera raw/photoshop.

What am I doing wrong?

...camera raw is part of the bridge application, so therefore batch conversions are made there...

...in bridge select the raw images and press command/control + R...

...camera raw will then launch...

...down the left is the selected images with the option to sychronize the setting you make...

...settings made in camera raw and applied to images are not destructive and always restorable, unless you save the image in that state...

...it basically adds a layer onto the source data...

You need to open the raw images. They will open in Photoshop within the raw converter. That is where you will see the synchronize option. You will not see it in Bridge.
 

...either way, opening a .CRW image via photoshop or bridge seems to be identical in my experience...
