Is there a way to synchronize two or more Project files? I have two project files that show different column details. The task names, resource names, start, end dates, and percent complete are about the only things in common. I have about 70 consecutive tasks in one that I would like to synchronize with the same tasks in the other. I was able to create a couple of filters in the non-consecutive list that shows me just the tasks I'm interested in. Is there an easy way to synchronize the dates, percent complete, and the resources from one to the other? This would just be one-way.

Thanks,
Jennifer

No, sorry. While you can copy/paste link data from one file to another it is relying on old DDE technology that is unreliable.

You might be able to do a work-around by exporting both project plans to Excel and then doing a compare within Excel. Or using a database tool like TOAD to load the Excel spreadsheets to (say) Oracle tables and then doing the compare with SQL. Howeve, you would still need to cut and paste (or re-key) any changes within Project. Although this suggestion doesn't help with synchronization, it would make the comparison easier.
