synchronize Outlook contacts with Exchange

I'm looking for software that will synchronize MS Outlook contacts with Exchange contacts.

I'm sure there are ways to export/import this data, but that won't solve the problem. Synchronization is what's needed so that someone with a laptop can add/edit contacts to his MS Outlook contacts and then, when he returns to the office, have those changes made in the Exchange contacts database without overwriting changes made by other users in the Exchange contacts while he was away.

I've been searching the web and haven't found anything -- hoping there's some reasonably priced (yeah, right) software out there.

Any input or suggestions on this topic will be appreciated.
