Can anyone tell me how to synchronize the Linux Server time with the time on my NT Server? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You need a Time Server service running on the NT Box. This does not come as standard.
There are a few commercial/shareware/freeware products available.
I have tried 1 freeware available from
This was easy to install and after the service was started,
rdate -s "nt_server_ip_address"
from a linux machine should set the local date to the NT date.
I can't comment further on the product, its really up to you to check it out and other products may be better.
Hope this is some use

It may be eaiser to sync the time on the linux box with the external server that the NT box is syncing with, since it would already be running a time server.

Just a thought [smurf]
