Synchronize Access DB with Excel

Hi,

I am trying to automate the process of importing data from an Excel file into Access. I am aware of the manual method that you use from the File > Get External Data options.

The name of my Excel files is always the same, however the number of records in the file vary from week to week. I would like to be able to click a button in Access and the data automatically Updated rather than appended to my Access table.

I would be grateful if anyone could help/advise on this.

Write a mcaro that does your import, then quits the db.

Then use the Handy Access Launcher (

or similar to schedule the macro to run at certain times, or even at recurring intervals. That way you won't have to click your button.
