We am running GoldMine 5.50.

I synchronize daily with our remote office.

Occasionally at least one new contact (created earlier the same day) does not get added to the database during synchronization. This makes me wonder what else might be missing and are we doing something wrong

Synchronization Wizard options at both ends appear to be set correctly. All record types are checked and it is sending "All changed contact records" of the "<Current Contact Set>". There are no filters (All Contact Records). We sync at the end of each day. When we notice that the number of records do not match, we select a date of one week ago and then the record appears.

We have checked to see if the missing record is the last entered record of the day, but that is not the case. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Check the "ignore cutoff date box" in your sync wizard. This will sync everything again.

Daisy,

Place post your exact version ie 5.5.10424 and your method of synchronisation and if its at the remote or in the office that the record isnt appearing.

In the office edit the GoldSync.INI and put the CobackUpMins=30 in the GoldSync section.

In the login script in the office for the network users make sure the NET TIME is set to update the local workstations with the servers time.

But the cut-off date and resynchronise.

If the record still doesnt exist on the remote then make a not of the CONTACT1->RECID for that given record and then run the following query on the remote:

SELECT * FROM CONTTLOG WHERE FRECID='<recidfromoffice>'

and see if it returns anything with an action of D for Delete.... if it does then its been deleted on the remote.

Regards,

Richard.
