Hi, I have a 13 Lim system BC9. Lim 1 is the master Lim and Lim 2 the second master. Lim 1 only has a DPNSS card installed and Lim 2 has a DASS card. Question is - Is it advisable to take the system synchronisation from DPNSS or would it be better from DASS and can Lim 2 be made the master and Lim one (I/O Lim) the second master.
I get a lot of slip alarms.
cheers

better to clock from DASS circuit and think yes it is possible LIM2 set to master and LIM 1 secondary

It is possible to set LIM 2 as master, I prefer however to have the master clock from lim 1.
This because during startup lim 1 is master for loading, the GS will then be clocked as well from this lim, this way the sync is already in place when the other lim's start loading.
This way possible problems can be avoided.

To have the Sync in LIM 2 will not cause any problems in normal cases though.

i'd tend to agree with mdman,

however if push comes to shove you should not have a problem, "if" you can get the DASS to LIM1 and boom !
