Hi

I have posted this query to the tables & relationship forum without any replies. I think that it shopuld be posted here.

I have a database with many tables in it, however I have one main table containing details of telephone lines, numbers and users etc. The key to this is the telephone number.

I also have a copy of this database on my laptop for use when I am away from the office.

Is there any way of synchronising the two tables without creating a master & replica copy of the database.

Hoping someone has the answer.

Regards

You don’t need a macro for this.

This question would probably actually fit best in forum181, Microsoft: Access Other topics Forum or forum701, Microsoft: Access Queries and JET SQL Forum.

But since you're here and have been trouble getting an answer....

Would you only be adding records on your laptop, or adding and deleting?

To append records from your laptop to your desktop, you could use the Find Unmatched Query Wizard to find which records are new on the laptop, then change it from a 'Select Query' to an 'Append Query' pointing to the table on the Desktop.

Post back with any questions.
