I am having issues with phone calls being cut or statics on the line. I looked at the log and there were 2 kinds of issue:
synchro fault in LIM
data link alarm

I dont which one is related to which one to see if the fault is my MD 110 or the data line from the telco.

help!

vince

Most probably:
1. You got a problem on ISDN/QSIG link to public/private network.
2. As a result, you got alarm 65 "External clock rate is not present although it is expected".

Restart interface board (data link alarm show you which one)
Restart program unit connected to your ROU on that board (most probably TLU60 and SLP60).
If no improvement, shake transmission guys or your provider.

Regards

vince,

do an scexp and an scicp.

see what is clocking and if any faults

then do an

SCEXI and also an SCICI

I did scexp;
no fault.

scicp; not a valid command.

what would the scexi command do?

thanks

no other idea?

external sync receiving lines data
master lim status
first choice 1-1-00-0 sync receiving
second choice not present

scexi,
gives the clocking a kick.

by the looks you have sync anyway.

your master clock is coming from 1-1-00.

what alarm are you getting and on which bpos ?

which service provider is 1-1-00 on and which is on the card which is faulty clock ?

the alarm sequence is the following:
65 synchro fault in LIM
03JUN04 16:48 ALP=11 NOIF=106 EQU=001-*-**-** INF1=1 INF3=2

270 digital trunk, bit error in frame synchro word
03JUN04 16:54 ALP=12 NOIF=2502 UNIT=SLP60 EQU=001-1-00-00 BRDID=57 INF1=256

303 Data link alarm
03JUN 16:55 ALP=8 NOIF=2475 UNIT=SLP60 EQU=001-1-00-00 BRDID=57 INF1=256

I don't know which causes which one, meaning is my LIM faulty and then causing a data link loss of synchro or is it the line causing then a faulty LIM

???

For starters I would try the following:

SCEXI
SFCEI

traffic RFBOI:bpos=1-1-00
effecting RFPUI:UNIT=SLP60,LIM=1

ALDAR:CODE=65;
ALDAR:CODE=270;
ALDAR:CODE=303;

ALREI;

ALDAS:CODE=65,CLA= XXX; (WHAT EVER THE CLASS WAS)
ALDAS:CODE=270,CLA= XXX;
ALDAS:CODE=303,CLA= XXX;

ALLOP;

speak soon, off home now !

it did not help

now I have error code 268
digital trunk out of order

question :

I have a spare TLU76, can I just replace one by the other?

the provider told me the line is OK.

Yes you can replace TLU76
Remember that TLU76/x must be with this same x
Some time RFBOI is needed
sen prinout of SUSIP:ROU= ..., TRU=ALL;

Yes you can do!
BLDBI:BPOS XXX.XX.XX;
replace one by the other
BLDBE:BPOS XXX.XX.XX,ALLFM=YES;

To test your TLU board make a loop ( on the board, or MDF)
connect Tx with Rx
If all is ok only alarm "Data link alarm" will be exist

I replaced the board.

now I have only error code 269
digital trunk loss frame synchronization

susip:rou=1,tru=all:

from tru 001-1 to 001-27 TL60 IDLE FREE
then 001-28 to 001-31 IDLE BLOCKED

I think it is because I have only 25 channels on my T2 box

how can I prove the telco my PBX is OK ? is it OK :) ??

well I replaced also the DSU board. now it works.

could it be that the synchro issue comes from the DSU board? because at the same tme the telco told me they redid some connections that looked bad.

maybe the sunchro fault in LIM 1-*-*-* meant synchro issue between the DSU and TLU

other related issue now !

274 Digital trunk, clock malfunction (SLIP)
UNIT=SLP60 EQU=001-1-00-00

always on same board TLU76

eventhough I replaced th TLU76 and the DSU

any idea?
