Sync problems using Quicktime

Hello
Has anyone had this problem before. I'm using quicktime movies in Director 8 and experiencing a weird loss of audio-visual sync on some PC platforms.
NT and a few Windows 98 machines.
I thought the spec of the machines would be low but they play the video fine in quicktime player.
I am using Direct to stage and the QT version is 4.

Anyone still using windows 98 or windows NT deserves what they get ;-) Don't know what to tell you.

What are the other sprites on the stage? Do you have any flash sprites etc. at the same time?
