sync issues in Outlook after enablin cached mode

Hi,

I have an Exchange 2003 Server with Outlook 2k3 clients. One user enabled cached mode, after which email from her inbox and folders disappeared. We found them in the 'server failures' folder underneath the 'sync issues' folder.

Does anyone know of what would have caused that? Also, is it possible to get those emails back to their original location? (Apart from the conventional 'click and dragging') There are a lot of emails in there...
