I have several domains in my WAN and want to sync up my username/login info so that when I am logged into domain#1 and connect to domain#2 it recognizes that my username domain#1 is tied to username on domain#2 - is this possible? how do I do this?

Thanks -- JJ

Do you mean trusted and trusting domain settings?
John Durbin

ICQ VFP ActiveList #73897253

Well, yes - I have each set up as trusted and trusting - however, it does not seem to recognize that my user1 on domainA is the same as user1 on domainB - could I be missing something in usermgr?

try breaking the trust in both the account and resource domains, and then re-establish it on both sides.

Create a global group in the trusted domain. Create a local group on the member server in the trusting domain. Then Add the global group from the trusted domain to the local group in the trusting domain and assign permissions at the share and NTFS level to the local group on the member server.

Check whether the user name and password on your
local domain is matched with that of the account in the remote domain

if the problem still persists then pls indicate the event id & error message...

rgds
SunilVarma
