I've come across a problem which seems really strange to me and I'd like to know more.
When I use the original supplied sync cable that came with a Mitac Mio Digiwalker A168 sometimes it fails to connect and then you touch the cable near the PDA (at which point if you listen carefully there's a tiny crackle sound) it connects, a few seconds later it disconnects.
Now all of that obviously points to a faulty cable (a replacement is on the way).
But sometimes when you connect the host computer either:
1. immediately shuts down (power off)
2. restarts (no errors on screen) or
3. comes up with a blue screen talking about memory dump and then restarts, going through a disk check on restart (the user aborted so I don't know the outcome)
What could be causing the latter behaviour ?
I would really appreciate your input.
Regards,
Jay
