I am attempting to sync my local address book to my Blackberry and i'm getting a error " cannot sync address book because it is set to wireless"? how do i configure it so my desktop manager can sync my local address book. i just find that a crazy setting because from my research you cant do the local address wirelessly so why would they include that anyway. or maybe im just lost. help please.

when you say "local address book", do you mean personal address book, or contacts? If the latter, you need to go into Intellisync from Desktop Manager, then configure PIM. Then go into the Contacts section and fix it the way you like.

whats the difference between personal address book and contacts isnt it the same thing?

Not in the world of Outlook. A personal address book is a separate file with a .pab extension. Outlook contacts are a part of your mailbox.

It works similarly in Domino - the personal addresses are stored in the SIM card, whereas the contacts are synchronized with either 1) the user's local names.nsf or 2) the addresses database defined in the user's profile on the Domino server if you're using BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Domino.
