Symposium with VM systems other than Mermail?

We currently have Symposium Call Center Server 4.2 and Meridian Mail 13. Instead of upgrading to Call Pilot, management wants to explore other VM systems. Will a different brand of VM system work with Symposium the way Meridian Mail does? We use commands like GIVE IVR frequently in our scripting and would hate to lose that functionality.

No. Call Pilot and MerMail are the only two voicemail systems which will support the GIVE IVR and GIVE BROADCAST functions.

are you using give ivr x interuptable? you can use other ivr but i'm not sure about the int command, the 1st server i played with had a paraphonics ivr and a rolm phone mail, rls 1.0.. unless you love late nights and headaches, call pilot is way to easy, and when you need tech suport, as bad as nortel can be, at least they can't blame the other vendor..
