Could I use SWC 4.5 on 2 different application servers to talk to the one Symposium Call Center Server 5.0 ? I have a working SWC 4.5 on an older PC and I just installed and configured SWC 4.5 on a new PC with Windows 2003 as the operating system. When I login as webadmin from a client PC and tried to configure the new SWC server by entering the SCCS 5.0's server name, I am getting an error ( server could not be added - update failed, error 2147352567 - Get host address, source: socket error 11004. Please note that both SWC 4.5 application servers and the SCCS 5.0 server are all on the same network. I used 2 different computer names and IP addresses and different host names for SWC 4.5 servers. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try the next.
1) Try command "ping <SYMPOSIUM_SERVER_NAME>" from SWC server windows command line. Maybe you have DNS problems on SWC server.
2) Instead Symposium server name in Web Client enter Symposium server IP Address.

I got the server configured on the new PC and everything is working except for Real Time reporting. When I launched any of the real time displays- Im getting system could not retrieve data from the server because either the server connection is down, or there are currently no agents logged-in. If the server connection is okya, then try launching the diplay again later. TRansmit mode=multi cast and unicast. Historical reports work.

From the other SWC 4.5 server, I could launch the displays with no problems. Please advise. Thanks

Check "Multicast stream control" settings on Symposium server. By default is in off state.

The Real time display runs perfectly on the original SWC
4.5 application server but getting errors on the newly installated/configured SWC 4.5 server.

You might also want to check the "Planning and Installation guide" page 79. They advise changing the Multicast TTL to something higher than the default 2.

Check the Multicast IP Address on the new SWC Server. It should be the same as the old SWC Server.

If the IP addresses are okay, try to run the icertdtrace tool on the new SWC Server to make sure that it's receiving multicast data from SCCS.

If it's not receiving multicast data, check the network connection and port configuration. Make sure that the network port for the new SWC server is not block for Multicast traffic.

Hope it helps
