Hi,

I have a Symposium system. The customer uses voice prompt editor to re-record Christmas messages, etc...
There are two files: the "maincustomersite" which contains all in-service voice segments & "backup1" which apparently is a backup...
"Backup1" has not been modified since 2001 & has 50+ less voice segments than the in-service file.

My question is: How can I create a backup of the in-service file? (Just in case someone hits the delete key or something while in the voice prompt editor...)
There is no "Save as" option so I can't save the in-service file under a different name.
I tried creating a new file, but it looks like I can only copy one voice segment at a time: Please say there is an easy way!

Thanks,
Áine

This is held on a call pilot system. Just make sure that the "application" is included in the call pilot backup.

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Thanks mikeyb123, they are actually on a dinosaur Meridian Mail system which is backed up on a weekly basis.

My worry is if they hit the delete key while in the live system file on Voice Prompt Editor & exit it, then all the voice segments will move up one & go out of sequence so we'll have to change all the voice segment variables in Symposium so that the correct announcements are being played.

What I want to do is back up the current live file so that if they do hit delete & mess up the sequence, I can just point symposium to the backup file & it will kick in with the correct announcements straight away...

unfortunately this isn't possible with meridian mail.

Are they specifically backing up their voice file? It's not included in the general meridian mail backup, it's run from the tools section from memory
