Symposium version 6

Hi there,

I am new to Symposium, only been working with it since July 14 this year. And ONLY from the reporting side, nothing administration. Our telecom specialist is on vacation so I can't ask him (we are a small call center), but I'm pretty sure he said we are converting to version 6 in Q1 next year. But someone told me it's version 7.

So, is there a version 7?
Whether version 6 or 7, we currently have version 4 - is there a significant difference in the data collection/data structure from version 4 to version 6/7?

Does anyone know what database platform it's using? Is it still sybase?

Any help is appreciated. For some reason, my google results aren't yielding what I need. (or could be just I need another cup of coffee)

The current release is Contact Center Manager 6. Rumor has it that Contact Center Manager 7 is due out end of first quarter 2009. That date usually slips out though.

In Contact Center Manager 6, Sybase is still database engine. It has been updated several times from Symposium Call Center Server Release 4. Ask your vendor for documentation for the new release to which you will be upgrading.
