Hi,
I am trying to access the Symposium tables via Business Object, but I'm not having a great deal of joy.
I have successfully managed to set up ODBC access as per suggestions in other threads (ie This works fine if attempt to create/re-run reports within Crystal (which I have very little experience in). However, when I attempt to do anything within Business Objects, I get the following error:
"Warning: [ODBC sybase Wire protocol driver]The datadirect ODBC driver you are attempting to access has been provided to you by Crystal Decisions for exclusive use with Crystal Reports. You are not licience to use this driver with any other application other than Crystal Reports. If you would like to purchase a driver for some other use, please call xxxxx - or visit datadirect at
The message is fairly self explanatory - however has anyone found a way to get around this without having to pay for additional drivers?? As BO and Crystal are essentially the same company now, I'm surprised this is an issue in the first place.
