Im on the process of building a new server and its a perfect time to update from Windows 2000 server to 2003. Is Symposium Server 4.02 compatible with Windows 2003 Server? or will I have to stay with 2000.

Sorry, you'll have to stay with Windows 2000 if you have that release. However, Release 5.0 (Feature Pack 1, Revision 4 -- not versions before that) IS compatible with Windows 2003. It's been out for awhile -- in fact, Release 6.0 is due out later this year.

SCCS 5.0 FP1 was released in December 2004.
4.2 does not support win 2003 server.
All CC6 will be on win2003

that you for your help. win20003 it is. Is there any big benefits to upgrade to symposium 5.0?

more enhancements for the call center on capacities, co-resident applications (TAPI, SWC, SCCS), NCC is much better, and a few other fixes.

You need to be on SCCS 5.0 to migrate to 6.0 when it's GA...so doing it now will prevent long upgrade paths if you plan to go to that release.

Express call center 4.02 or the old SECC is campatible with win2003 server. Had a pilot with this a few months ago and it's GA now.
