I'm just starting to get into custom reports using Crystal. I want to start replicating MAX reports for our Symposium users. Is there anywhere I can find some information on customizing reports (MERL wasn't much help). I'm especially looking for some formula's so I can get avg. not ready time etc. Any help would be great.

Just install the SCCS Client and search for *.rpt, you will get number of predefined reports of SCCS. Open the file in your Crystal Report and look for required feild and formula. Every thing is in there. You can also go through the NTP of Historical Database Dictionary for detail.

One product you might look at for reporting is a product call Cresselle. Its an excellent/Dynamic reporting application (far mor dynamic that Crystal)

If you want more details let me know.

Go with mabsar's advice - the data dictionary is quite helpful and complete. Lots of information there. Holler if you need help, I've written dozens of these before... -Matt
